<Originally, I was wrong about these transactions impacting revenues, as was pointed out to me by a few gentlemen on this thread.>

Yes Bob I think I was the first to point out your mistake.

<At this time, I am not saying that capital transactions impact earnings. I am only saying that capital transactions impact cash on hand in the quarterly report.>

You might also want to point out that although cash increases when Lgnd borrows from ELAN, this borrowing of cash also creates a corresponding liability on the balance sheet.

<Jim McCamant, was predicting $30 by 2000.>

Niman was predicting $30 by Aug 98. If you believe these analysts your dumber than I ever imagined. I'm sure Niman can pull many previous analysts predictions on Lgnd off his web site and to this day all of them have been wrong. Maybe you can tell me why you think McCamant will be right this time. Also is this the first time McCamant has recommended Lgnd? What is his previous prediction record on Lgnd? Did he predict the record lows for Lgnd in 1998?

I also have a question for others on the thread. When Lgnd redeemed the warrants from some investors, where did the shares of Lgnd common stock come from? Was the number of shares outstanding increased or did Lgnd set aside these shares at the time the warrants were issued. Bottom line did we see more dilution in the stock by Lgnd redeeming these shares?
