Richard, a real revival of sales levels is conditional, IMHO, on a new wave of fab starts, that has been absent in the last few months. Furthermore, the current pricing of the equipment is some 10% less (and I have seen numbers saying 17% discounts to prices prevailing a year ago). Retooling can barely maintain most of the participants in the black (except few that are involved with DUV, back end equipment and some copper people). But when AMAT is valued at $20 Billion when it is doubtful that this year's total shipments of the whole industry will reach this figure, there is place for retrenchment, IMHO. The market right now is discounting the sector's performance in 2000, not this year's.

TYhe time to jump in was indeed when the BTB reached under .6 (how much lower can it go, was the motto then).

Zeev

PS, on the other hand, the market is discounting the internuts performance in year 2005 (VBG).
