To the thread:

I was wondering why the Fire dividend had not shown up in our accounts yet, so I made several calls and can report the following to the thread.

There are 2 transfer agents involved, American Securities Transfer (LEAH's agent) and Liberty Transfer Company (Fire's agent). Apparently there was a bit of a mix up, but now AST has the information it needs to fax LTC a list of shareholders who should be receiving the dividend.

This is further complicated by the fact that Fire is a new company. LTC told me they just sent away today for their stock certificates, and it will be about 8-10 days until they have them. At that point they will be able to pay the dividend.

So I assume that if all goes well from here on in, we should see the shares in our accounts in the week of Jan. 18-22.

The delay is unfortunate but since the stock is still not trading, it really doesn't matter. LEAH hopes to hear more about a trading date near the end of next week, but it is in the hands of the regulators, who can basically do whatever they want.

Meanwhile I am told we should be hearing more news soon on other matters.
