I think OTEXF will do well as a company, not so great as a stock. They raised all the cash needed with their IPO when everyone thought they were going to be a search engine. They are going to be awhile digesting their acquisitions, made with this cash, so I see a period of gradual improvement of operations...earnings will come down the road. Good company but at $26 I think fully priced. Incidentally part of the recent surge was due to their inclusion in the TSE 300 index. Guess a few index funds had to get on board.

I see limited upside for OTEXF in 1999 because there are a lot of stock options outstanding. There may be some folks cashing out, especially various employees who could use a bonus.

Documentum has really flown this year. If OTEXF were to get the same respect it would be at $50. I don't see it happening though. Maybe someday these companies will merge. Perhaps this is OTEXF's game, they need to pump themselves up through acquisitions so that in the M&A game they aren't acquired too easily or taken too lightly. And indeed they may get big enough someday that it is Open Text acquiring Documentum. (Laugh if you will.)
