There are only two kinds of stock: registered and non-registered.
To sell any non-registered stock in a public sale, one must file
the Form 144. Very simple and straight forward.

Note: Shares can be "restricted" or become "restricted" due to a
number of reasons (e.g., one accumulates enough shares to become a "control person" (5%), which also requires filing a Form 13d.
