Pigboy, good to see you here. Re: "I believe 'Fibre' is simply the French way of saying 'Fiber'." British. Doesn't matter. What I said was right (about why fibre spelling), per Fibre Channel Association definition. Let's not quibble over spelling. What about EMC? I know they are the technology leader in RAID storage, etc. Still a good buy? Thanks for the tips on the small up and coming FC companies. I'm familiar with Gadzoox and Vixel, have used their boxes. They work. Tony
