Sorry to wake you all up, but I just wanted to say that while you were "hybernating" some of us have actually been busy making money (at least on paper anyway!).

On December 27 I posted my recommendation to forget GIFT (at least for a few months.....), and to load-up on CNTR (Centura Software) at its tax-related low of $2 5/8 because a recovery was on the way. This link will take you to that earlier post if you did not see it ===>

Well, the expected recovery is well on its way already with CNTR closing at $5 on Thursday the 23rd, for a *sweet* xx% return in under three weeks. Just check out the chart ===>

But it is *not* too late to catch the wave. Centura Software recently announced the purchase of another company by the name of InfoSpinner, and has since gained considerably in spite of the fact that 4Q results have not even been released yet!

With 4Q expected to be the company's fourth profitable quarter, and maybe its best to-date yet (in the company's recent history anyway), CNTR could easily rally up to the $7 range before settling back down to the $5 to $6 range a few days later.

Go ahead, at the very least *do* check it out for yourself. I am sure you will like what you see because investing in CNTR does require you to have some vision, but then again you probably already have if you are courageous (?) enough to invest in GIFT (Tongue-In-Cheek) ===>

Good luck to you all in 1997!

p.s. If the GIFT patent stands up in court, how will it be enforced around the world and for how long before the licensing fees rolling in can not longer keep the high-priced lawyers on the payroll!?
