re:possible hedge. I was thinking that if we continue on our current shot up and sentiment reaches 70 in the next week or two I would consider a mild hedge. One idea I had was shorting some XLK (technology SPDR's. I believe they eliminated shorting against the box so this would eliminate any tax problem against my SPY position and if there is to be a correction I'm sure the big techs will get hit the hardest. While the spread on these seem to be about 1/8 they're new and only do modest volume. I wonder if there would be any problem with Schwab getting shares to borrow if I wanted to do this. If anyone's been trading these or anyone has a comment on this as a general strategy your input is welcome
