I think you might be a bit confused here. CIBC was saying that APPLE had hoped for 570,000 - 700,000 units to be shipped, but that the actual number turned out to be 522,000 - i.e. Apple didn'y really meet its own shipment goals.

When were these "goals" ennunciated? During the last conference call? I don't seem to remember them, but a lot has transpired and I cannot remember everything.
