I look at Band Ore and see that with all that has happened in the last 24-months in the gold sector (exploration in particular)that it has formed a base in the low .20's. It is a moot point now to look back and wonder "what if...." when it was $13.85, or $6, or $3.50 and so on. The point is there are lots of Corriente's, Bema's, Geomaque's, Conquistador's, Miramar's, Eldorado's and so on. There weren't many winners in the gold business in 1998 and I guess there was no reason for us to escape the carnage. Look at what was done compared to most other companies you can name and at least they found a new "deposit" and developed it as far as the market would allow - for the time being.

No one can deny that the whole exercise was brutal, but what lies ahead is more important that what has already past, in particular as far as the market goes. We still have our Thorne property, but the market is not much interested in hearing about a 5 or 10-thousand foot drill program here, at least not now.

What does give me encouragement is that the stock has (finally) stabilized, and if you call the company one gets the feeling they are poised to start on something else. Not sure what it is but they were busy looking at all kinds of ventures for the last 12-months as they do have a healthy treasury. Give them a call yourself and see what you can come up with.
