Jay, I was just advised that another version of the palm pilot uses 2 aaa's. Voltage requirements could therefore be met with a single 3.8 volt cell. Back to higher production rates and fewer watt hours. However, the newer wireless versions should demand more energy storage and longer run times. It would be helpful to have power consumption data for the various units and calculate watt-hour requirements based on, say 12 hours run time- maybe 30-100 hours for wireless units wouldn't be unreasonable if the battery could be molded into the case.
