Before this stock will correct significantly there must be signs of some slowing in growth. Amazon continues to have sales momentum. However, it is "just keeping up" with the growth rate of e-tail commerce. Recent reports show that e-tail sales grew about 240% through the fourth quarter. It looks like Amazon did a bit better than than - impressive results although shy of some expectations. The market remains grossly over-fixated on growth and fails to recognize the significance of the company's own admissions: that margins were adversely effected because of pricing pressures. Amazon bought business.

Amazon will remain a leader in the emerging industry for at least a couple years. The growth of the industry will continue to outpace any other sector. But competition is just starting to heat up. Within 18 months the competition will become much more severe but for the next few quarters Amazon is the hottest e-tail game and no one is paying attention that this horse is developing a limp.
