John, I would pray for many miracles for your time given to you to grasp the circumstances and do with them what God would have you do.
But, actually those things are no longer possible, so I do truly pray that the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ fills your mouth with words.
Within the planned programs and alloted times, and rehearshed segments, there is very, very little that can be done to change the way things are. So, if you don't impact lives AND TURN THE CHURCH RITUALS IN ANOTHER DIRECTION, please understand that it probably is no longer possible within that setting.
Do you know what I really mean? The scripture "they have their reward" is very, veyr interesting. It's not necessarily a put down by our Lord toward those "who have their reward", but I'm sure it was spoken in great sadness and maybe a little disgust that the people involved were quite content with what they had and wanted nothing more.
Remember, the church now has its reward, the entire church, and that for the most part is creating a very, very happy big bar without beer, in which there is never a dull moment to reflect, and when the silence falls, it is usually so embarrassing it is quickly boomped away by a nervous guitar player who stands reaady with the beat.
No? I think I'm right.
But I do pray that your particular moment impacts on those the Lord would have hear.
Or, better still, impacts upon you the continuing need for reformation of the whole thing, from scratch, going back to the original instructions.
I lived that once, John, for almost 6 full years. During that time my feet hardly touched the ground, and I only remember the glorious blaze of the whole experience.
But, my prayers are with you. |
