Yes, Timeshifting as in compressing, recording to hard disk, and decompression/playback? Plus it's a DBS receiver and WebTV device. Only thing it's missing is DVD. But don't worry, I'm "sure" someone else has that solution. re: the new chips. Same silicon? Can you say "economies of scale"?
