SYCR update: (from Bryan...relentless researcher) Windrenalin was previewed by Acceleration Software at the recent Fall Comdex held in November in Las Vegas where it was one of only sixteen software products to be nominated as a finalist for the prestigious Byte Magazine "Best of Comdex" award out of approximately 10,000 new products introduced. Syncronys and Acceleration Software are working closely on final enhancements to Windrenalin which is scheduled for release in February with an estimated street price of $29.95. The Company reports extremely strong preliminary interest in the product from both domestic and international retail distribution channels.
Windrenalin, which has been under development for several years, has recently been granted a U.S. Patent. The product uses three principal hard disk acceleration technologies to produce operating speed improvements under Windows 95 typically ranging from 50 percent to 160 percent. The first is Application Launch Acceleration which reduces the time it takes for applications, particularly large ones, to load and begin working. The second is Multitasking Acceleration which significantly reduces the performance degradation associated with Windows 95's multitasking of the hard drive.
The third is File System Acceleration which speeds up file system operations for high-end Pentium Pro systems.
