although the need for cash by oil dependent nations is very high leading one to believe any concerted fix in the price of oil by opec and others would be doubtfully successful......on the other hand....a definitive boost in oil revenues would make the jobs of numerous finance ministers and fed govenors along with the IMF a great deal easier ....at least in regard to latin america and russia.....

any thoughts?
