I remember the 1974 times, inflation was a killer...and Merrill was running an ad saying it was time to buy stocks, as they were the only things that were cheaper than the year before.<G> Only they were serious. I had a friend who'd lost some serious money over the previous two years...he was not amused when I pointed out the irony.
