1/7/99 Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. (VTSS): Needham & Co. repeats "strong buy" rating on designer and manufacturer of digital gallium arsenide integrated circuits ahead of fiscal Q1 earnings this evening; believes that company will meet expectations of $0.18 a share on revenues of $60 mln; expects overall book-to-bill ratio between 1.15 and 1.18 and communications product book-to-bill of more than 1.2..... Looks like Vitesse will make the numbers easily after the close. Hopefully, BTB will be greater than 1.2 . Then, the band plays on.....
