Harold, I've found that the local access for WebTV has definetely held sales back. Whan they first hit the market in early December or so I used one at Circuit City. I live in Ocala, Fl and they had to connect to a provider in Georgia! I would buy one for the kids to use if we had local or 800 access. The machines are fairly quick as they come with a 33.6 modem. I also understand that they are going to be improved with add-ons. There may also be second generation models on the way. Anyway, I'm sure that the FTEL/WebTV alliance will be big just based on the FNET service . And we have yet to learn about the hardware that WebTV will get from FTEL!

FNet will also be able to offer a unique package of hardware and communications capabilities to WebTV Networks and its Internet Service Providers.
