RM, you've raised some interesting questions, some of which have perplexed me for some time. Profit margins are certainly sinking fast in voice, in general, and it would appear that this affects VoIP as well. It does, but not proportionately. The cost models and the relative costs associated with entry between traditional POTS and those of VoIP are still oceans apart.

There are a great many concerns pro and con, going into this model, for any provider who has had their bread buttered by POTS. See some of my comments over in the Com21 thread, concerning the possible backfire effect on T and others.

I'd like to give this some more thought and pay it due respect later on or tomorrow. I have an appointment I'm already late for.
