O.T. Can anyone tell me the real reason why stops or stop limits cannot be used on OTC stocks? I understand that the stop or stop limit must be at least 1/4 pt below the bid price. This would still not be a problem to many OTC stocks. I am wondering where in the rules it states that stop or stop limits cannot be used on OTC stocks. Is it the NASDAQ that prohibits it or the stockbrokers or what? ETRADE does not allow it and no doubt no other electronic trading sites allow it either. It would be very desirable however as on cannot always watch the stock that closely.
