A crisp, grapey yet dry, All-American white - Widmer's Lake Niagra tastes best chilled.(Widmer's only, Taylor has a Niagra not so good). You might want to decant if bringing it to the table for guests, because of the metal twist-off cap. Don't know why it's packaged that way, deserves better, a Discovery. It's not that easy to find. Don't try pouring it into a fancy German or Peruvian Nouvelle Wine bottle - only undeveloped palates could be fooled, because Widmer's Lake Niagra tastes like the Al Jolson Country it came from. Under $5 a bottle, and a taste like a warm day in late September on a glacier lake with an aroma of sunripe concords in the cool breeze. Great with water crackers and provolone to complement the wine.
