How do you see this possibly backfiring on T and other voice providers, since it creates an environment that takes voice outside the grasp of a single provider's control at some point? You've got to know that this is being discussed behind the closed doors.

I agree with Charlie that AT&T will find a way to participate. Remember, too, that just because Cisco's made a big PR splash doesn't mean they have solutions ready to ship. With telcos, it's different. If they advertise a service, they have to deliver.
