it probably doesn't have anything to do with aol. they get blamed for enough stuff as it is :)

i have aol on my puter (in addition to 2 other isp's), and i can say i have had probs with the hourglass freezing, and have figured out a workaround for that, but never had the arrow go away. i actually rarely use aol, just get it for free so i keep it.

she can always email an aol tech (imo they're fairly competent) with her arrow prob, especially if it only happens when she is connected to aol. there are also places on aol for her to post her question. i hope someone else here can help her. i don't think i have.
