like cheeky said the other day, it's sweet when your puter is like 95% stable. yours can be that way, too, i'm certain :)

isn't it a new dell? why aren't you on the phone with them getting it all dialed in? their recording says they will only help you with hardware-related issues, but often they will delve into all other areas with you if you just keep 'em on the line long enough! :)

this may be completely unrelated, but i have come across a few situations where anti-virus software running in the background has prevented a good, clean install of a program, or of a browser. i've learned to turn off all symantec software (norton utilities suite, etc.) prior to downloading.
