Yes, I do expect these shares to continue up to 150 (300 pre-split) in the near term. We apparently have avoided the net sell-off that was predicted by many, including me. I suspect the insiders, institutions and venture funds (w/ a very low cost basis) appear to be holding because they believe there is more to come. If you were a holder, as an insider, of MSFT in 1990 would you have sold? If you were going to sell it would have likely been a small amount of shares for special purposes but keeping the bulk of the holdings, right? In today's column, from Cramer, ala thestreet.com, he says the basic belief is that we are on the ninth floor of the Sears Tower, not the bottom level, but only a portion of the way up. He also made a favorable comparision to Wal-Mart and AMZN in terms of valuation during their initial years, in yesterday's column. Let's see, Borders, Sears, and Pennys are missing their targets while the net score huge gains, hmmmm. My advice, buy some shares tommorrow on any dip and enjoy the ride w/' double the share total next week.
