George, thanks for the response. I always planned to check out the WSJ story on Chrysler and CATIA but never did. May still do it.
I do seem to remember that one of the justifications given by the Chrysler guy quoted in the article was the old stand-by...vendor independence. I have some problem understanding how a customer can go to NT and use "vendor independence" as a reason. BTW, what ever happened to CADAM and the RS/6000. I saw Unigraphics in the list but no CADAM. That may date me.
