Hi All,

I got some sort of interesting spam in my email today from Apple (not quite sure how I got on their spam list). Is Apple still a player?

Here are a few excerpts that are graphics related:

<Each and every new Power Macintosh G3 computer provides four PCI
slots. One 66MHz 32-bit slot for the ATI RAGE 128 graphics
accelerator. Three 33MHz 64-bit slots for a variety of expansion
possibilities.>

< Play games?

In a frame rate comparison involving Quake, Myth II, and Unreal, a
new Power Macintosh G3 computer easily outperforms a Compaq Presario
5660 (featuring a 450 MHz Pentium II processor with a Voodoo2
graphics card installed).>

<The ATI RAGE 128 graphics accelerator is the fastest graphics chip
on the market today. And it comes in every Power Macintosh G3
computer that goes out the door, allowing Macintosh to provide
faster 3D graphics performance than any PC available:>

To my knowledge Savage isn't compatible with the Mac's. Is S3 missing out on something they should be paying attention to?

Regards,

Don
