Some of the great minds in History such as Plato, Aristotle, Socrates and Voltaire pale in comparison to the brilliant blobs of tissue, proplasm and bones I have the privilege of meeting most days at my local Chrales Schwab outlet. I am not talking about the personel but the common folks that come in off the street and who like to watch the trades on the two computers situated in the lobby. Believe me they have the most profound answers to any investment question you may have. Today I showed a little concern as to what was wrong with AOL as its performance over the last few days had been anemic. The reply I got was most noteworthy and should probably be forever enshrined on a plaque and hung over the moving ticker.
When asked what to do about AOL, the reply I received from one astute gentleman was , "AH man sell that F###ing piece of s##t and get some Amazon." He bragged that he bought 500 shares a couple of days ago." I guarantee it will be up to 200 before you know it." I asked how do you know it will ?? He said, "because it will, trust me". I then asked what do you know about Amazon?? He said. "I don't know anything, you don't have to know anything about it to make money, just buy it gee what the f##k is wrong with you?" You think that s##t Dell, Microsoft, and and AOL is better?? Man you have not been around too long".I was very much impressed with his articulation and profound subject matter. I said thank you very much and I will think about it. Somehow I guess that should have made me feel better.
Having read a few replies to my question here tonight I indeed feel much better Have a good evening and Thank you
Frank
