I would attempt such partitioning later as per Spots prudent thinking and maybe a little more back and forth here as to the merits of each

My first impression is Dave's partition strategy is for a seasoned NT user. It requires a little more NT savvy to setup than the single NT install with the KOT utility/restore setup.

I am not a fluent NT user so it is difficult for me to get a 'feel' for the differences. I do intend on rereading his post..it will give me something to contemplate on the way to work. I always take Dave's concepts seriously.

I believe the common ground is the PowerQuest Partition Magic / Drive Image combo.
