I am speculating at some point McCaw will put all the pieces of the puzzle together and offer bundled services such as wireless, long distance (wireline), and local (wireline). Whether they market this service under Nextlink, Nextel, or NextWorld, it won't matter.
Currently GTE is my local provider, MCI/Worldcom is my long distance carrier, and Nextel is my wireless provider. By bundling all these communications services together I should be able to save some $ and eliminate multiple bills.
Currently Nextel offers wireless and landline long distance, the only piece needed is the local market which Nextlink is addressing. When they offer a total package I will switch.
By the way, did you ever reschedule your fishing trip with Craig McCaw?
