I guess you would prefer the Boxed with the longer warranty and fan? Not really. I rarely collect on warranties. I do not like the hassle. Technically the warranty is void on a Celeron once you overclock. It is probably difficult to prove but the assumption will be made even if you do not. I would also prefer to choose and install my own fan. I have heard tale of better quality CPUs in the boxes but I do not think the claims hold up. The quality distribution is most likely random. In short..six of one and a half dozen of the other. Zeuspaul
