Hi,Uncle Frank! You asked how DELL could ship so quick and still be covered up with orders. First let's assume that Fli-by selected a very popular configuration from the Dell catalogue, then consider these possibilities:

1. They keep a few on hand for efficiency's sake. Very few.

2. A large customer, perhaps a government account which needs to shift some machines into 1999 for budgetary reasons, asked Dell to delay shipment on a big order, and the units had already been assembled. I've had customers do this while we were loading the truck.

Uncle, I'm just guessing, but if CPQ is up, Dell is stratospheric. Personally, I like the silence about this quarter, and expect a nice surprise. Don't like to hear how a movie ends before I see it.

[Titanic was an exception]

Trust me, we're not going down!

Don
