>> Dear Chaz, Why don't you research the leaded crystal problem

I am researching it, with the most knowledgeable wine glassware users I can find - yourselves.

>> and be kind enough to report back to us tomorrow.

Not at this response rate ;-)

>> I have a feeling that most fine glassware is not a problem.

Most fine glassware through about 1993 had this problem, then the CDC issued a warning. Since then, I haven't seen anything in the press, so I have no way to evaluate. Almost all old quality decanters have a large percentage of lead in the glass.

However, the thrust of your response is that this inquiry is boring. No health enthusiasts here. I get you.

I give up, but I hope if anyone knows if a law or regulation was made in connection to leaded crystal or not, they will let me know. Also whether the glassware recommended on this forum is leaded or not.

Thanks,
Chaz
