TECHNICAL ALERT ON OSX FUTURES:

An unknown investor purchased 8000 futures contracts on the OSX index on1/6/99. Faber announced this on CNBC this AM and promptly stated,

"Can you spell P A I N?"

Today that same investor purchased another 1000 contracts which drove the OSX index even higher.

Apparently the identity of this guy is known to those in Oil Circles and he is almost always correct.

How can this be?

1]. You don't acquire that kind of money [100 million +] by being wrong or making bad bets

2]. Fact: Insider trading laws [Section 10b] apply to stocks and options; NOT futures.

3]. Fact: Inside Information CAN LEGALLY be used to purchase futures.

I believe this purchase of 9000 osx contracts in the last 2 days by an insider is about the STRONGEST BUY SIGNAL possible.

What inside info could he know? Perhaps a handshake agreement between the opec nations. Any other ideas?
