Joe The one downfall is the lack of training the nextel sales people do.I really feel that is a big problem from in direct sales.Demand someone who knows what there doing. The phone can do what you want First of all go to phone mode and you hit the menu button it will give you the forward feature this is for immedite direction you toggle this forward for what you want to do to office or home you just put in the phone # and push on .They call this HARD forward since you do this often.SOFT forwards is a feature that you pick what you want the phone to do in different situations.Go back to the phone mode hit MENU forward MENU you will see 2 options busy or no answer so you can direct this anywhere it is ususaly forwarded to voicemail but you can program any number you want. There is another foward called no reach that you can forwad to voicemail or to your secrtary the reason they call tese soft forwards is because they are automatic and the hard forward will take precedence over the soft forwards. The difference between all the soft forwards are 1. busy if Iam on the phone take a message or send to secretary your choice just put #.OFF position keep ringing until I answer if the phone off message will say you have turned your phone off unless you have the soft forward turned on.2.No answer is if I don't answer take message.3.No reach is if I am out of range take message or follow your wish hope this helps sorry if I sounded cranky in My other message.I use the hard forward when I turn my phone off and when I am going to an area without coverage and I will hard foward to place I am going.I also can access my voicemail from land line if out of range which is getting less and less LOL Rick
