Here's a clip from one more article. (10-02-96)

SOFTWARE SETTLEMENT. Syncronys Softcorp, maker of the SoftRam95 computer
program, is close to settling allegations by the Florida attorney
general that the company misrepresented the performance of its software.
The settlement talks come almost three months after Syncronys settled
similar charges by the Federal Trade Commission.
Like the FTC case, the Florida probe centers on advertising and
packaging claims for SoftRam95, which was designed to enhance the memory
of personal computers. A year ago, SoftRam was the
second-biggest-selling program on the market. But in December, Syncronys
recalled SoftRam95 after consumer groups and computer magazines said the
program didn't do anything. The company admitted some versions didn't
work properly.
