Question on the accuracy of VectorVest data.
I sent this in email to VectorVest and got no reply. Anyone noticed the same and/or have an answer for this?

Subject: Accuracy of your data used for calculation

I was watching the data for CMED. You have this information:
"GRT (Growth Rate): CMED has a GRT of 1 % per year. This is very poor. GRT stands for forecasted Earnings Growth Rate in percent per year. "

While the from several sources, for example from Microsoft Investor, this number is:

32.40% and 30% for next 5 years.

I have seen a couple of stocks have similar differences.

Does your database have bogus data or is this some data you generated internally?

Earnings Growth Rates Last 5 yrs. FY 1999 FY 2000 Next 5 yrs.
Company NA 37.80% 32.40% 30.00%
Industry 13.90% 12.20% 26.50% 26.00%
S&P 500 13.90% 1.10% 4.00% 7.20%

================
For 3Com it has similar differences:

From VectorVest:
GRT (Growth Rate): COMS has a GRT of 3 % per year. This is very poor. GRT stands for forecasted Earnings Growth Rate in percent per year.

From Microsoft Investor: 41.10% for 99, 46% for 2000, 22.30% for next 5 years.
Earnings Growth Rates Last 5 yrs. FY 1999 FY 2000 Next 5 yrs. 99 P/E
Company 12.20% 41.10% 46.10% 22.30% NA
Industry 2.90% 12.70% 38.00% 29.00% -108.00
S&P 500 13.90% 1.10% 4.00% 7.20% 28.10
