Brent has bounced very nicely from sub $10/ buying dips anyone ? I am having some decent luck catching some intra-day lows with limit orders; caught VTS @ $ 14 7/8 and set limit sell @ $16 5/8 - this is showing great intra-day volatility now. I may quit may day job - to trade just RON fulltime . - wow; $2-3 swings and talk about a rolling trader... Caught UFAB on a dip; I have done my ''DD" on GIFI & UFAB - 2 real sleeepers - love them both. UFAB appears (using most recent revisions downward) to have as large an increase in 98 to 99 earnings as any Oilpatch Stock; one of the ''Hall of Fame'' All Star Oil Annalysts on CNBC a while back, said UFAB was his # 1 pick for 1999 - not at bad call if they even come anywhere near their EPS projections. A micro cap with the backlog and a recent contract to virtually guarantee their numbers going forward - how can the Street miss this one ??? Actually; they miss it because it's too small to show up on the radar screens; a micro but a potential Home Run; good balance sheet etc... hopefully buying one of tomorrows stars - today... Left $3 on the table selling CXIPY on a pop yesterday... oh well; a bird in the hand ... ..also; will look to pick up FLC for a trade here as well; will we see the late day run up; friday's usually a good close ??? PS - what is the rumor on the "Hot Tub Shiek'' ? supposedly is a ''reall Arab'' who trades huge; this WAS verified on CNBC as a fact; Wall Street knows this guy and he trades infrequently and trades BIG. Apparently he traded short untill lately; then reversed buying the huge numbers of OSX index calls and reportedly is making a short squeeze on 3 companies - going long on FLC PDE and FGI - gotta love it. I wonder if this is the Shiek that was on the cover of Money Magazine who made $500 Million of buying Citicorp years ago at $5 ? He could have news on an OPEC agreement....why would anyone make multi-million dollar trades otherwise out of the blue ? Fact, fiction - who knows ? - but, HE does exist and those OSX calls were bought ! Maybe we'll see PDE FLC & FGI run up here; if I was a short - I'd be covering NOW. - interesting stuff... there were massive rumours that the Saudi's shorted crude - on the fall and now some Shiek goes long to the tune of Millions ....hmmm.
