I have spoken to my contact and he says the stringent cost-cutting is being done in a "prudent and forthright manner"
I think I will get back into MFE as a turn-around situation. Even if they lose .50/sh for fy99, I expect they'll be profitable for 2000.
It looks like this is a good entry point back in, I was going to pull trigger around $1.50 but wanted some more info on the cost cutting first. Any comments, and do you think this would be a good re-entry point?
I can understand their apprehension about doing business in B.C., as it's anti-business personified. Even EA is kicking themselves for their new center in Burnaby, its becoming very expensive just to maintain operations and to retain employees who have forgone the US$ paychecks, lower taxes and lower COL. My question is: why doesn't MFE move operations to Washington State or at least Alberta?
Is there much possibility of a merger or takeover with another firm,ex.Nelvana?
