RE: GTIS (GT Interactive)
Just passing along one of my mid to long term bottom dwelling bargains thatmight be positioned for you short term trader/buyers.
I have been accumulating it because it's on the bottom (tanked from 26 to 6 1/2 by WS because of projected lower 4Q earnings when anticipated hot XMAS game software was delayed), is a global company, capitalized, growing like a demon, low P/E, positive earnings, etc. etc.
It's the world's largest publisher/distributer of computer games (Doom, et al). Recently affiliated with Nintendo to publish/distribute "64" titles. Gobbling up small game companys and will publish/distribute most of the 3-D games being made for MMX technology. These will become a profit factor this Spring.
Has been basing between 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 since December. Don't think there is a need to rush in tomorrow since 4Q earnings not due till Feb.but initial reports are that game sales XMAS were stronger than expected. However, the negative XMAS projections are already built into the current knocked down price. (It's one point above bottom...ain't going down.) I believe the stock price will rise and dip on its way to doubling by July and tripling around XMAS.
Tons of info on it wherever you research. Again, I don't make buy recommendations to short termers on this string...I know my place...but if I think one of my mid to long term buys that might, considering time and circumstance, meet short term trading criteria, I'll pass it along. The short term pros on this thread will know if its a short term player..or not...and critique accordingly.
