Harlock,

DWDM is starting to take off. However, they have only been deployed by the IXCs as it provides excellent economics. However, the RBOCs are not making their moves at all due to huge price tag DWDM carries. Many RBOCs have come to the conclusion that DWDM for metro is not economical now and they will stick with laying fiber cables for now. However, achieving cost reduction to meet economic model is nothing new in high tech. This is reflected by Nortel buying Cambrian for 300 million, a 1.5 year startup with no revenue. I have no doubt in my mind that MFNX will also move to DWDM as soon as it can justify the economics. It doesn't matter if it 470, 800, or wave, whatever gives them the lowest cost and the highest return they'll do it.

I let you in on another thing: I predict Ciena will be bougt by someone this year.

"F@#$ing out of bounds array ref" it is. I had this 13 years ago when I was a programmer.
