"The offers are higher than the ask, but "exhuberance" is pushing people into market buys which erodes the higher offer. There is 500,000 shares for sale between 5.55-5.75 and what is wanted is 180,000 shares between 5.45-5.25"

thanks Doug....typed to fast...should read " The offers are higher than the bid,'

Don't market buys raise prices ?? Not in this case!! The bid ("box bottom") is 60K shares at $5.50.. The offer (box top) is 100K at $5.60...The ordinary seller looks at the spread and places his offer at $5.55 and the order is continually taken out. Inthe case of a market order to remove some of the 100K, the broker just loads it up again, then the next offer comes in at 5.55 etc. etc. etc.

meanwhile the price doesn't move!
