<<Microsoft updates "primitive" Java>>. Great the more MSFT embraces Java the more it reduces their desktop monopoly. MSFT is heading towards becoming a media company. Read an interesting story in FORTUNE Magazine which indicates that Gates may be buying the Dow Jones (Wall Street Journal). Let's see WSJ, MSN, MSNBC, I really think they are seeing that they will NEVER be the monopoly in the software industry in the future the way they were in the past (their margins will decline). All, thank goodness, to open standards and Unix.
