"The ESST Chinese connection is pretty cryptic to me, as I know not a whole lot of companies who have "made money" in China! Participating in the market is one thing - making money is another!"

Ram,

Motorola made a lot of money in the mid 90's.
So is AT&T, ALcatel, Philips and Siemens.
Mostly in the telecomm area as China is
modernizing its infrastructure and spending national
resources to build them.

The $2500 PC isn't doing too well in China.(But they have 5 million PC sales
in 1998 in China). Craig Barret knows every Chinese parent will buy a computer
for their only child. But I think it is the sub $500 PC will mashroom in China.

I think both DIMD and ESST have a good potential, they are simply under-valued
by the Streets people who are over-cautious about Silicon Valley high tech companies.
And there's a lot of day traders and options players targeting companies like
ESST and DIMD, etc.
