Frost,

Zonagen breaks 30 today while Vivus continues to trade under 3.

Just goes to show you that "perception" and not fact continue to fuel this market. Sure I want to see Vivus zoom up to 30 ASAP. But not until the herd realizes that the idea that all the ED cures rests in the oral ingestion of a foreign substance shaped, coated, colored, and compressed into a tablet is just that--an idea.

I also believe that as time moves on and treating ED becomes more and more commonplace and everyone has tried to cure their problem ingesting tablets, the medical community will realize that not only is MUSE the safest non-needle alternative, but also it requires the expertise of a trained medical professional. This may make more PCPs more MUSE friendly rather than outright lazy.

IMO buying Viagra on the internet in essence is a spit in the eye of the medical profession. In the initial Viagra wave craze the MDs could care less as they didn't have time to properly scrutinize this mania. But eventually as this all dies down the mds will realize that they merely fed the attitude that they are not needed to treat ED as it can all be taken care of via an internet order.

With the rapid evolution of e-commerce the same phenomena will soon occur with ALL popular pharmaceuticals. IMO the mds LAZINESS is going to catch up with them in the long run. The AMA should have pressured Congress to put a stop to the internet ordering of prescription medications and the Viagra situation was a good case of supporting the argument that there is no subsitute for a doctor/patient relationship when treating any disorder.

And notice that Pfizer never lifted a finger to stop sales of Viagra over the net. Why should they as they have always maintained that it is a safe drug as long as not used with nitrates. Had the FDA not forced a label change they still would be touting the same lie. If the mds think that Pfizer is on their side they need to think more clearly. All Pfizer cares about is selling more Viagra. If Viagra were allowed to sell in candy stores, Pfizer would be tickled to death.
