So do the doomsayers plan on being in the market near Y2K ?

I have heard several opinions and am inclined to be completely liquid at that time, but would appreciate other opinions.

The more I research the issues, the more I realize that rectifying the problems are not as hard as identifying them, so those who claim have fixed all thier problems, are basically saying, they've fixed all the bugs which have been found. Even after thorough testing, there is always the potential problem of data imported/exported between other companies/systems.

I have even heard that September 9, 1999 will be another 'event horizon', due to the date being something like 09/09/99, which supposedly are not interpreted by all systems in the same manner.

Anyway, you can call it paranioa, or diligence, but IMO, we should all be prepared for the worst and hope for the best.

I just hope we don't live in Mad Max times when Y2K gets here.

Nice thread btw.

Regards,
nabeels
