Having a tone-deaf kid be the lead singer of a band that includes two offspring of a musical virtuoso extraordinaire such as yourself would be like having a slow, fat white guy that can't jump be the go-to guy for a basketball team with two of Michael Jordan's kids on it. Unless, of course, the white kid's last name is Bird. My wife isn't the only musical talent in my family. I was admitted to college as a music major and was a trombonist in the All State Jazz Band in Illinois my senior year of high school. My music majorship didn't agree with my post-graduate ambitions, so I switched majors in the middle of my freshman year. I continued to play trombone with a modest degree of success through college and still dabble today. Ish will appreciate knowing that I was in the Big Red Marching Machine when it was at its biggest, loudest and best!! Your story made my day.
