During the '96 primaries, Keyes was saying pretty much the same as Buchanan was, on issues like morals, family values and abortion. And yet, it was Buchanan that was getting the attention (and the votes). The Republican voters pretty much ignored Keyes in every state... Looks like Keyes is a mere "museum exhibit" in the Republican Party! They keep him in the party so that they can claim that they too have colored people in their ranks! Nothing less, nothing more.
