Soup made some excellent points in his reply to the article. Why is it that you never read of the things he mentions? Is it because it's better reading to keep hearing that Apple is dead?

If the media were as fair with their evaluations, then we might see less of this one-sided analysis.

Most people who are focusing on the negative reports are not people who were there when the speaches were made, and have not read the press releases. Rather they are reacting to the pre-digested Apple news, filtered through the "what's going to get us a lot of attention?" algorithm. People ought to decide for themselves, not just repeat what a publication prints to get attention.

The latest way to get a lot of people to read your online publication is to print something negative about Apple. Then it appears in Guy Kawasaki's Evangelist and all the Apple supporters go there to read it. Sure, they're there to complain, but often they hang around and keep reading. You can't buy that kind of instant audience. Up go the hits on your online advertisement counter.
